after a gripping first day...

We ate!
We drunk and we talked.
Pretty much at the same time as everyone else 
In fact I think if we weren't discussing long socks it was all about the golf.
You could argue the only thing missing was a man telling us Aberdeen would win the cup again soon!
There were small stories and tall ones

There were short ones and really really long ones


Oh what fun we had before heading to bed for 10pm

September 2024 - Ladybank and Crail

Some people will be arriving at the Bank Hotel on Sunday night and some will roll into Edinburgh over the weekend. Yes, its happening and the match pleasantries begin on Monday from 11:30am at Ladybank Golf Club in Fife, Scotland. The match will take place over the two courses of the Crail Golfing Society, one of the oldest having been founded in 1786, its just a joyous place to play golf. Our venues over the years have been at the end of peninsulars where the elements enjoy entertaining the golfers as much a the golfers do with their shotmaking, 2024 will be no different. What will be different is the half way house. On Craighead, both mornings, there is a natural return to near the clubhouse and yours truly will be attending to the needs of the passing players. Balcomie in the afternoon, on tuesday and wednesday, will see refreshments near the toilet at the 10th and behind the 12th green.

Welcome to the Scottish SE Golf Society

A warm welcome to those who have come looking for information on the trip Sounth to play the LSE Golf Society this week. SSEGS v SEGS is an annual fixture in September played over 3 days with the match over 72 holes of Day 2 and 3. There's a bit of history, not least with some of the games and names, past and present, who have played in this long standing fixture for the cleek. There's also the post match or annual  dinners.
